Together, we can build the future of data storage.\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nResponsible for HDD Teardown FA all customers from China.\nOwning of the mechanical failure analysis process and equipment.\nDocumentation of all observations and conclusions through images, teardown analysis and possible cause of failure.\nDiscussing the FA findings and communicating the next course of analysis.\nGeneral housekeeping, including maintenance logs and calibration schedule for all lab equipment\nAbility to interact across all levels of the organization.\nProvide effective information on tool or process improvements related to FA.\n EDUCATION:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent\nEXPERIENCE:\n 2-5 years of experience in hard disk drive or related industry\nREQUIRED SKILLS:\nStrong written and verbal English communication skills\n\nHands-on individual who enjoys lab work and performs analysis using high-power microscopes and precision equipment\n\nPREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:\nBasic knowledge of hard disk drive and head/disk interface\nFamiliarity with analytical techniques: Raman, FTIR, SEM, and TOF-SIMS\n Familiarity with electrical failure analysis methodology and interpretation of findings\nData analytical skills\n Western Digital thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
