The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and collaborate effectively; they will demonstrate a willingness to learn, flexibility, creative problem solving, exemplary communication skills and an ability to think on their feet. Candidates must be flexible to work a 12 hour AWS Shift and overtime, as required by the team.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead daily sustaining activities for Sputter equipment to ensure high equipment uptime and optimal performance.\nSupport Engineers to monitor and drive continuous improvement on key KPIs such as OEE, MTBF, MTTR, Unscheduled downtime and PM effectiveness.\nSupport Tool Owner and Equipment Engineer for machine conversion/upgrade and improvement projects.\nPerform routine preventive maintenance per PM schedule. Conduct routine maintenance checks and services on all production equipment.\nDocument routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, record data if applicable and maintain completed checklist/history in tool maintenance system.\nPerform regular inspections and maintenance on production machine to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.\nDocument routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled failures details on system database\nProvide inputs to Shift Coordinator or Equipment Engineer to improve PM cycle-time, tool availability, quality/workmanship, reduce media scrap and cost of ownership.\nLead problem-solving sessions and provide technical guidance to junior technicians.\nParticipate in spare parts review, critical spare strategy, and cost optimization initiatives.\nEnsure safety protocols and cleanroom discipline are strictly followed during maintenance activities.\n REQUIRED:\nDiploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent\nPREFERRED:\nWorking experience in a manufacturing environment (especially in a vacuum chamber system) is required.\nSenior Level Equip Maintenance Technician\nWorking experience in the Sputtering or machine maintenance-related field would be an added advantage.\nKnowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control) would be an added advantage.\nKnowledge in using measurement tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.\nKnowledge of study schematic diagrams (circuit diagrams), working on system troubleshooting.\nUnderstanding of failure mechanisms, ability to isolate and determine the root cause, and repair.\nProficient in MS Windows Software (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) & Forum Notes\nEffective team player with proven relationship-building and communication skills, including cross-functionally with Production, Process, Yield, and Quality.\nSKILLS:\nTechnical - Familiarity with sputtering equipment or other vacuum systems.\nProblem Solving - Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control system failures.\nCommunication - Ability to communicate technical information effectively to colleagues and engineers.\nSafety - Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing environment.\nTeamwork - Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams.\nAdaptability - Proficiency in handling emergencies and unexpected equipment failures.\n WD thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
