If you are passionate about using AI to solve meaningful problems and create exceptional user experiences, this role is an opportunity to make a direct impact on the student journey. As an AI Product Manager II, you will partner with engineering, design, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-powered experiences that help students navigate key moments throughout their educational experience.You will own a focused product area centered on AI agent and conversational experiences, helping shape how students engage with WGU across multiple digital channels. From discovery through launch and optimization, you will guide product strategy, prioritize opportunities, and deliver solutions that create value for both students and the business.
What You'll Do
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, balancing stakeholder needs, technical considerations, and product health while maximizing customer and business value.
- Lead product discovery efforts to understand user needs, identify opportunities, and develop business cases that inform product strategy and roadmap decisions.
- Partner closely with engineering, UX, analytics, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver impactful AI-powered experiences.
- Drive the evolution of AI agent and chatbot capabilities that support students across web, mobile, and messaging channels.
- Translate product strategy into well-defined features, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable effective agile delivery.
- Measure product performance, connect initiatives to business and customer KPIs, and develop action plans based on data and insights.
- Support product launches, release planning, change management activities, and post-launch analysis to increase adoption and effectiveness.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5 years of experience as a Software Product Manager, Product Owner, or related experience. Candidates with slightly less experience who demonstrate strong product management fundamentals may also be considered.
- Professional Product Certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Pragmatic Marketing).
- Experience working in agile environments.
- Experience delivering AI-powered products, conversational AI solutions, chatbots, AI agents, or similar customer-facing AI experiences.
- Experience partnering with engineering, UX, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver software products and measurable business outcomes.
- Experience with backlog ownership, roadmap development, stakeholder management, and agile product delivery.
- Experience working with tools such as Jira, roadmap management platforms, and integrated enterprise systems such as Salesforce.
- Excellent presentation, written, verbal communication, and product storytelling skills.
Bonus Points
- Experience in Education Technology or student-facing digital products.
- Experience launching AI experiences across multiple channels, including web, mobile, messaging, or CRM platforms.
- Master's Degree.

Work Location
This is a full-time, in-office position requiring five days per week in our Salt Lake City, Utah office, designed to foster the collaboration and connection that fuel our best work.
