You will partner closely with engineering, production, quality, and leadership teams to ensure materials arrive on time, at the right cost, and at the highest quality.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSourcing, negotiation, and purchasing activities for assigned commodities.\nMake day-to-day purchasing decisions aligned with company strategy.\nResearch, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers based on cost, quality, service, availability and other relevant factors.\nAnalyze cost data increases and decreases and provide forecasted industry changes.\nSupport cost reduction initiatives.\nMaintain strong supplier relationships to improve quality, pricing, and delivery.\nManage purchase orders and ensure timely material flow.\nTrack procurement data, inventory levels, and supplier performance.\nCollaborate with Quality, Plant Management, and suppliers to resolve issues with defective or unacceptable goods and manage replacement deliveries and credits.\nEnsure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.\nWork Environment & Physical Demands\nOffice and manufacturing support environment. Occasional standing, walking, stair climbing, and lifting up to 30 lbs may be required.\nBenefits\nMedical, Dental, Vision\nCompany provided life insurance\nVoluntary Life/AD&D options including dependent plans.\n401(K) enrollment after 60 days of employment with company match\nTuition reimbursement\nTen paid holidays!\nQualifications\nRequired Skills\nStrong analytical skills and systematic approach to problem-solving.\nAbility to make critical decisions while following company procedures.\nStrong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization.\nExcellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nHighly organized with the ability to multi-task and deal with changing priorities with ability to prioritize and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.\nAbility to self-manage and self-start on projects, able to work with minimal supervision.\nEducation and Experience\nBA/BS or AA/AS in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, or related field - or equivalent experience.\n3+ years of hands-on procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing.\nAPICS or ISM certification a plus.\nStrong knowledge of MRP systems and MRO purchasing.\nStrong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.\nWork Authorization/ Security Clearance \nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.\nWestern Industries is a strong company with 30+ years of success.
