Areas of expertise in the operation of associated electrical equipment is emphasized. Primary goal is to assure safe and efficient production by responding to changing conditions in timely manner.\nCandidates with 5+ years of experience preferred\nThe Company offers insurance coverage that includes medical, dental, vision, life, disability & supplemental insurances, a 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, employment assistance program, employee appreciation events, and more. \nResponsibilities\nPerforms electrical maintenance in all areas of the plant on a scheduled or emergency basis\nRepairs, Replacements, Installations, Alterations, Troubleshooting, Cleaning, and Testing for the following:Electrical Motors and associated components such as Starters, MCC’s and VFD’s\nDistribution equipment such as Panelboards and Switchgear\nConductors and Terminations\nSensors and Instrumentation\nConduits, Raceways and Fittings\nLED, HID and Incandescent Lighting\nStandard components such as Transformers, Plugs, Receptacles, Fixtures and devices\n\nCommunicates directly with production to coordinate maintenance and repair work\nCares for and ensures safe use of company provided tools\nObtain certification for the use of industrial vehicles and aerial work platform equipment\nWork in confined spaces\nAdherence to NEC and local codes\nPatrols electrical and non-electrical equipment to verify safe and efficient operating conditions\nPerforms preventive maintenance activities as required\nAssists with new installations and other projects, as requested by the supervisor\nWorks with contractors to plan and implement installation of new equipment or systems\nParticipates in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness\nMust be available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis\nOther duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager\nQualifications\nA high school diploma is required\nProof of 8000 hours or (5) years of experience in a related field\nTechnical experience, working with sensors and instrumentation\nProof of previous or current enrollment in an Electrical Apprenticeship Program or certification as a general electrician preferred \nProof of Arc-Flash PPE training preferred\nSkills\nAbility to identify hazards and work proactively to mitigate risks\nAbility to use simple test equipment such as a DMM and an insulation tester for troubleshooting\nAbility to identify and anticipate electrical component failures\nAbility to read electrical drawings such as one-line diagrams, schematics and manuals\nAbility to work in a professional manner \nKnowledge of grounding systems and grounding requirements \nKnowledge of typical plant operational processes and procedures, including routine and emergency start-up and shutdown practices\nFamiliarity with industrial equipment and operations \nMechanical experience\nExperience with Arc-Flash hazards and wearing the appropriate PPE. \nExperience with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems \nExperience with industrial vehicles such as Forklifts and Manlifts\nExperience with typical PPE such as Hard hat, Safety glasses, and Fall Protection\nExperience with Lockout, Tagout, Blockout, (LOTOBO) (Machine Specific)\nKnowledge of PC/PLC/HMI \nProficiency with basic computer software such as word processors and spreadsheets\nDemonstrated interpersonal skills\nAbility to work with all levels within the organization and the ability to work in a diverse group\nAbility to write detailed repair reports\nMust have good verbal communication skills\nPhysical Requirments\nMust be able to perform job duties while wearing a respirator\nMust be able to lift and work overhead, to stoop and to crouch\nMust be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis\nMust be able to climb ladders and work at elevations of 175 ft\nEnvironment\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical and electrically energized parts\nThe employee will be regularly exposed to very dusty and noisy conditions\nThe employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions\nThe employee may be exposed to chemicals used in the process\nNote: Valid Driver’s License required for insurance purposes.
