This position is also responsible for the cleanliness of the general plant area, with an emphasis in the rail yard.\nResponsibilities\nUnload bulk commodities from rail cars\nOperate locomotive, trackmobile, forklift, and other equipment to support production \nSwitch rail cars within rail yard for product offload into receiving pits.\nMaintain radio communication with other rail team members and supervisor.\nOperate augers, belt-driven machinery, and elevators used in the production process.\nOperate various machinery to support production.\nClean-up leftover product around silos, receiving pits and rails.\nClear documentation of bulk receiving records and rail car seals to maintain traceability.\nFunctionally cross-trained in other support roles.\nPerform routine maintenance of all equipment associated with the rail receiving process.\nReport any observed product quality issues to appropriate manager/supervisor\nPerform repetitive movement (e.g. pushing/pulling leg controls) with both feet.\nPerform repetitive tasks (e.g. grasping objects, fine manipulation, push/pull, assemble objects, etc) with both hands.\nProvide back-up support for other roles as necessary. \nAvailable for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessary. \nOther duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.\nQualifications\nA high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nTwo (2) years’ related experience preferred.\nForklift experience preferred.\nBasic operating knowledge of augers, belt-driven machinery, elevators, and other equipment used in the production process.\nSkills\nMulti-task and handle continuous interruptions without losing focus.\nConcentrate and remain focused despite repeated interruptions.\nStrong follow-through skills.\nSelf-motivated and accountable for results. \nSafely operate all yard equipment referenced in the essential duties.\nAble to work on a time deadline and follow instructions.\nPerform critical thinking and troubleshoot.\nWrite clearly and legibly to keep detailed and accurate records.\nPhysical Requirments\nFrequently lift/carry objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds.\nFrequently twist, stoop, kneel, crawl, bend, climb, push, and/or pull.\nFrequently reach for objects in performance of the specific essential job tasks.\nOccasionally lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 100 pounds.\nOccasionally perform overhead lifting of objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds, with or without assistance.\nVision sufficient to safely perform the specific essential jobs tasks outlined.\nEnvironment\nContinuously exposed to outdoor/uncontrolled weather conditions.\nRegularly exposed to work near moving parts/equipment. \nRegularly exposed to major amounts of dust.\nRegularly exposed to moderate to severe noise levels.\nOccasionally exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process.\nThe pay range for this position is $16.50/hr - $17.50/hr.
