This position has significant visibility with senior management, executive committees, and Board of Directors.\nRole Responsibilities:\nLead the development and evolution of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite Statement\nDesign and manage the Enterprise Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Program\nDevelop executive-level risk reporting, dashboards, KRIs, and risk registers\nDrive implementation of Integrated Risk Management tools and reporting capabilities\nPartner with business leaders to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor enterprise-wide risks\nLead enterprise risk training programs, workshops, and Risk Champion initiatives\nPresent risk insights, emerging risks, and recommendations to Executive Risk Committees and senior leadership\nOversee risk governance documentation, policies, frameworks, and procedures\nSupport regulatory reporting and risk management submissions\nMentor and develop a high-performing risk team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement\nRisk and Controls Self-Assessment Procedure, etc.)- Support adoption and application of risk policies and procedures throughout the organization in a manner that practically supports each relevant function People Management\nRole Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in risk management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required; advanced degree (MBA, Master's, or equivalent) preferred.\n12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise risk management, operational risk, compliance, audit, financial services, or related risk disciplines, with significant leadership responsibility.\n5+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide risk management programs within a complex, highly regulated organization.\nProven track record partnering with executive leadership teams and presenting risk matters to senior management, executive committees, and Boards of Directors.\nProven ability to influence and build consensus across business lines, corporate functions, and the three lines of defense.\nDemonstrated success leading, developing, and mentoring high-performing teams and fostering a strong risk culture.\nPreferred Certifications\nPreferred Certifications Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) (CPA), (CIA), (FRM) or\nOther relevant risk, governance, compliance, or audit certifications\nWork Shift\nHYBRID - Western Union values in-person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible.
