Working across Business, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Human Resources, and other supporting functions, the role oversees end-to-end training operations, including content management, delivery, governance, monitoring, reporting, and learning systems management.\nThe role also supports leadership in the operationalization and ongoing management of compliance frameworks, governance processes, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen organizational capability, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness.\nRole Responsibilities\nLead the operational management and governance of the organisation's compliance training framework, including the establishment of processes, controls, standards, systems, and performance measures that support training delivery and organisational learning activities. \nDesign, implement, and continuously improve training processes, reporting, controls, and quality assurance practices to support business, regulatory, and organisational objectives. \nPartner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations, Human Resources, and business stakeholders to analyse training requirements, coordinate program implementation, and ensure learning activities align with organisational needs and operating standards. \nOversee training data, records, reporting, management information, learning management systems, and performance metrics to support decision making, governance, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives. \nProvide operational advice and support relating to training and compliance frameworks, organisational processes, stakeholder engagement, change initiatives, capability development programs, and process improvement activities. \nWestern Union Competencies:\nCustomer FocusPartners with employees, agents, third parties, and business stakeholders to ensure training programs, processes, and learning activities meet organisational and regulatory requirements\n\nManagement & PlanningEstablishes and maintains training processes, standards, controls, and reporting practices to support the effective delivery and continuous improvement of training programs.\n\nBusiness ExpertiseApplies in-depth knowledge of training operations, process management, reporting, information management, and learning practices to support the effective delivery of training programs and business objectives. \n\nLeadershipLeads cross-functional initiatives to improve training processes, reporting, systems, and program delivery through collaboration with business stakeholders.\n\nCore Factors:\nFunctional Knowledge\nAdvanced knowledge of training operations, process improvement, information management, reporting, learning technologies, and organisational learning practices. Exercises sound judgement when managing complex operational challenges and competing priorities. \nRole Requirements\nMinimum 5 years' experience managing operational programs, training operations, organisational learning initiatives, business process management, governance, or related functions. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing operational frameworks, policies, processes, controls, and reporting mechanisms. \nExperience analysing organisational requirements and translating them into effective processes, systems, and operational solutions. \nExperience managing information, reporting, performance metrics, and operational controls to support business decision making. \nExperience managing training programs, learning operations, or organisational capability initiatives. \nExperience working within regulated industries is preferred. \nKnowledge of AML/CTF and financial services regulatory requirements is advantageous. \nExperience in Financial Crime Compliance, including AML/CTF obligations, and delivering compliance training to employees, agents, and third parties, preferably within the financial services industry.\n\nBachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience); professional certification in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or related fields is preferred.\nAdditional Skills Needed:\nCompliance Training Operations & Governance: Manage training operations, governance frameworks, controls, reporting, and learning systems to meet business and regulatory requirements.\nProcess Improvement & Performance Management: Drive process optimisation, business analysis, KPI tracking, performance measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nStakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Partner effectively with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, leveraging strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.\nOperational Excellence & Problem Solving: Apply strong planning, prioritisation, decision-making, records management, and adaptability skills to enhance compliance and organisational effectiveness.\nWork Shift\nWestern Union values in-person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible.
