With your solid technical expertise and leadership skills, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our facilities, maintain high guest satisfaction standards, and promote continuous improvement initiatives.\nThis individual must possess and adhere to the following core values:\nIntegrity - Doing the right thing when no one is looking.\nPassion - Creating a positive impact.\nWork Ethic - Taking pride in your work.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nExecute the strategic vision and direction for the Engineering Department, aligning with the resort’s overall goals.\nProvide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to the maintenance team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence, while ensuring accountability.\nImplement, train, and enforce safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe environment for guests and employees.\nAssist in managing the Engineering Department’s budgets (R&M and HLP); capital reservations and expenses, P&L reviews, forecasting, and maintaining departmental ledger.\nParticipate in the development and management of maintenance programs, procedures, and schedules to optimize departmental efficiency.\nSupport the planning and execution of major capital improvement projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgets, and timelines.\nConduct regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs, safety issues, and areas for improvement.\nServe as a liaison with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate efficient and cost-effective maintenance operations.\nResponsible for the procurement and inventory of all tools and materials purchased and assigned to the Engineering Department.\nAbility to create documents using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nExperience in effectively using resort operations devices and software (HotSOS).\nCommunicate professionally via radios, phones, emails, and verbal communication.\nPerform maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and O&M manuals.\nMust be able to recognize and resolve potential hazards on the property.\nExpert ability to use hand, power, and battery tools, and other relevant tools required for the job.\nWork using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, dust masks, and within confined/restricted spaces.\nInterpret and address guest needs, interacting positively toward resolutions.\nMust adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.\nMust always represent Westgate Resorts in a professional manner through appearance, attire, and professional behavior.\nPerform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership.\n Must be detail-oriented with effective communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to adapt to various tasks, perform effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines consistently.\nMinimum of 4 years of leadership experience in a resort or commercial environment.\nHigh school diploma required; a bachelor's or associate degree in a maintenance-related field is preferred.\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
