With your solid technical knowledge and leadership skills, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our facilities, maintaining high guest satisfaction standards and promoting continuous improvement initiatives.\nThis individual must possess and adhere to the following core values:\nIntegrity - Doing the right thing when no one is looking.\nPassion - Creating a positive impact.\nWork Ethic - Taking pride in your work.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nExecute the strategic vision and direction of the Engineering Department, aligning with the resort’s overall goals.\nProvide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to the maintenance team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence, while ensuring accountability.\nImplement, train, and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.\nAssist in managing the Engineering Department’s budget, including capital reservations, P&L reviews, and expense forecasting.\nParticipate in developing and managing maintenance programs, procedures, and schedules to optimize departmental efficiency.\nSupport the planning and execution of major capital improvement projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgets, and timelines.\nConduct regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs, safety issues, and areas for improvement.\nServe as a liaison with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate efficient and cost-effective maintenance operations.\nManage the procurement and inventory of all tools and materials purchased or assigned to the Engineering Department.\nAbility to create documents using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.\nProficiency in using resort operations software and devices (HotSOS).\nCommunicate professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions.\nPerform maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed.\nExpert ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and O&M manuals.\nMust be able to recognize and resolve potential hazards on the property.\nProficient in using hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools, along with other relevant tools required for the job.\nAbility to work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, dust masks, and within confined or restricted spaces.\nCapable of understanding and addressing guest needs with positive interactions toward resolution.\nMust adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.\nMust always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, attire, and behavior.\nPerform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership.\n To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
