The position is hybrid, you will be onsite a few days per week.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform system administration of corporate Engineering Linux platforms, as well as delivery and hardware maintenance of qualified Linux platforms to contracted nuclear utility customers.\nInstallation and configuration of the base operating system, participating in the design and deployment of security updates, coordination of customer site delivery and maintenance visits, and ongoing support of Linux systems in the corporate and customer environments.\nYou will collaborate with engineering users to deploy applications and resolve issues.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in the following disciplines: Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or another related field\nLinux Expertise:6+ years of Linux Administration experience (preferable SUSE™)\nHave a mindset for independently identifying, analyzing, and efficiently solving variety of system related problems\nPractical experience with:Networking and Network File Systems (NFS)\nDisk [RAID] configuration\nBIOS/UEFI and iLO\nMultiple user authentication methods and access restriction\nSystem patchingo\nLinux firewall experience·\nExhibit an enthusiasm for producing work that follow quality standards and follows defined procedures·\n\nBusiness Travel Requirements:·Travel to domestic and international customer sites 1-2 times per month (1 to 2 full weeks) to perform technical work\n2 weeks of travel each month is common\nRequired periodic international travel includes:China\nWestern and Eastern Europe\nSouth Africa\nBrazil\nAlthough we generally avoid it, we sometimes require travel during US holidays or urgent (short notice) travel.\n\nWe are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
