We reimagine the possible across the nuclear industry every day.\nAbout the role:\nAs a C,E&I Support Technician you will provide wide ranging technical support to the E&I Services craft team, involving the diagnostics and repair of instrumentation and control systems, discrete electronics, and computer-based control & monitoring systems.\nYou will report to the Assistant Plant Manager and be located at Springfields.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProvide technical support and training to the E&I Services craft team.\nMaintain technical documentation for key site CE&I systems.\nManage spares availability and contingency plans for key site CE&I systems.\nManage obsolescence and development plans for key site CE&I systems.\nManage external contract support services for key site CE&I systems.\nLiaise with system owners to co-ordinate maintenance and any required system outages.\nEnsure system compliance with legislative, regulatory, and company standards.\nQualifications:\nStrong leadership, communication, and organisational skills\nAbility to work in high-integrity, safety-critical environments.\nMinimum BTEC HNC Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years’ experience (or extensive experience in lieu of HNC).\nComputer literate, with MS Office applications experience.\nExperience of industrial instrumentation, including maintenance, calibration, and loop design, including ability to interpret engineering drawings.\nExperience of programmable plant control systems, including PLC & SCADA.\nKnowledge of basic discrete electronic circuit design.\nKnowledge of basic computer networking.\nKnowledge of design principles for safety related instrumentation.\nNuclear industry experience would be beneficial but is not essential.\nWhy Westinghouse?\nWe know that to put forth your best effort, you need to be challenged and enjoy what you do in a supportive and respectful environment.
