At Westinghouse, we recognize that our employees are our most valuable asset, and we seek to identify, attract and recruit the most qualified talent while recognising and encouraging the value of diversity in the global workplace.\nYou will report to the Customer Solutions Manager UK ICS and be located at Gateshead.\nKey Responsibilities:\nReview customer specifications and create technical documentation for instrumentation and control systems design for new plant and upgrade projects\nDevelop hardware design documentation such as cabinet layout drawings, cable/wiring schematics, and PCB layout/schematics\nPerform functional design, implementation, testing, and site commissioning of control logic\nSupport creation of documentation for procurement/manufacturing\nProvide resolution of technical issues including obsolescence\nDevelopment of test procedures and execution of functional tests\nProvide support to customers for installation and emergent technical issues\nQualifications:\nAt least 5+ years’ experience in industry - of which at least 2 years at Engineer level - nuclear industry or other highly regulated sector preferred\nBachelor’s degree or higher preferred\nChartered Member of the IET (preferred)\nMust be legally eligible to work in the UK\nDetailed knowledge of standards, regulations, codes and directives and how they should be applied\nStrong knowledge in the production of Technical Files for new products / plant and equipment\n· Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.\n· Competent in the use of Microsoft Office.\n· Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines on multiple assignments with extensive technical documentation.\nWhy Westinghouse?\nWe know that to put forth your best effort, you need to be challenged and enjoy what you do in a supportive and respectful environment.
