Working closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering and Quality teams, you will lead process improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, problem-solving techniques and data-driven decision-making.\nYou will analyse operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement and implement sustainable solutions that reduce waste, improve productivity and support business objectives. All activities must be delivered in compliance with safety, quality, environmental and regulatory requirements.\nResponsibilities\nLead manufacturing and process improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, productivity and operational performance.\nAnalyse production processes, equipment performance and operational data to identify improvement opportunities.\nApply Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methodologies to address operational challenges.\nReduce process variation, defects, rework and waste through continuous improvement initiatives.\nImprove production throughput, equipment reliability, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and process capability.\nFacilitate investigations into safety, quality and production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.\nCollaborate with teams including Production, Engineering, Maintenance and Quality to deliver operational improvements.\nDevelop business cases, project plans and performance metrics to support improvement activities.\nMonitor project progress and track realised benefits including productivity gains, cost savings and quality improvements.\nCoach and support employees in continuous improvement tools, problem-solving techniques and best practices.\nPromote a culture of operational excellence, employee engagement and continuous learning.\nSuccess Measures\nSuccess in this role will be demonstrated through:\nImproved safety performance and reduction of operational risks.\nReduction in quality defects, non-conformances, rework and waste.\nIncreased production throughput and equipment availability.\nImprovements in OEE, process capability and manufacturing efficiency.\nDeliver measurable cost savings and productivity improvements.\nSuccessful completion of improvement projects and implementation of sustainable solutions.\nIncreased employee participation in continuous improvement projects.\nComplete corrective and preventive actions.\nQualifications\nDegree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline.\nExperience delivering process improvement or continuous improvement projects within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Kaizen and problem-solving methodologies.\nAbility to analyse and interpret operational, manufacturing and performance data to support decision-making.\nExperience working with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business improvements.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and continuous improvement reporting tools is desirable.\nAdditional training and development will be provided.\nWhy Westinghouse?\nWe know that to put forth your best effort, you need to be challenged and enjoy what you do in a supportive and respectful environment.
