This role combines hands-on shop leadership with supervision of technical designers, drafting personnel, and manufacturing staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of work scopes.\nYou will report to the Engineering Manager, Inspection Tooling Engineering and be located at Burlington, Ontario, Canada. This is an onsite position.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead daily operations across manufacturing laboratory and shop facilities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and nuclear requirements.\nManage manufacturing personnel, technical designers, and drafing resources, including work planning, scheduling, resource allocation, coaching, and performance management.\nCoordinate fabrication, assembly, testing, and project execution activities to support cost, schedule, and quality commitments.\nOversee the preparation, review, and release of technical drawings, bills of material, and engineering documentation while maintaining configuration control and applicable standards compliance.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives, develop shop procedures and work instructions, and support the implementation of innovative manufacturing methods and technologies.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent education.\n5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or industrial operations, including experience leading multidisciplinary work scopes.\nSupervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, laboratory, or industrial environment.\nExperience with manufacturing techniques, welding procedures, fabrication practices, and associated inspection methods.\nExperience working with 3D CAD systems such as SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.\nObtain and maintain the security clearance required to access Canadian nuclear facilities.\nWe are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
