This will be accomplished by\nOverseeing, and holding accountable, direct reporting or matrixed project resources\nEnsuring sound Project Management tools and practices are in place and being followed to monitor project progress\nEnsuring that all contractual requirements are met and execution remains within committed scope\nLeading discussions with customers on variation orders and other commercial and project execution related topics\nThe candidate must possess the following attributes\nStrong foundation in all project management disciplines (cost, schedule, risk, quality, etc. management skills). \nStrategic thinking\nStrong commercial management skills\nAll project management is performed in accordance with the established Westinghouse policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.\nEssential Functions:\n\nEssential Function\n\nSupporting Duties/Responsibilities\n\n% of Time\n\n1\n\nManage multiple large/complex projects\n\nDefine and initiate projects and assign and/or obtain project managers to manage cost, schedule and performance of projects assigned, while working to ensure the ultimate success and acceptance of the program.\nOversee, author, and/or direct the authoring of program/project plans including developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.\nAnalyze needs and develop unique customer satisfaction and project performance metrics.\n\n25%\n\n2\n\nProject executing, monitoring & controlling\n\nManage overall projects assigned, performance to meet quality, schedule and financial goals as set forth by Westinghouse, customer and regulatory requirements.\nDirect responsibility for program financial performance.\nEnsure program sub-projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.\nOversee all work activities and motivate to increase performance. Manage program resource assignments (labor, equipment, supplier, etc.) to ensure program goals are achievable.\nMaintain continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives and make recommendations to modify the program and/or implement changes to enhance effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent.\nProvide leadership to train, motivate and direct technical and administrative personnel to resolve issues during project implementation\n\n40%\n\n3\n\nProject Closing\n\nOversee closure projects assigned.\nFormally close program when all projects are completed.\nPerform final program quality assessment and report out.\nIdentify and communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons, and risk avoidance for future work.\n\n10%\n\n4\n\nDevelop positive relationships with cross functional/product line team, customer, suppliers, Westinghouse in-country representation (for international projects), and other stakeholders to drive project to successful completion.\n\nAlign stakeholders (e.g. team, customer, suppliers, Westinghouse in-country representation, etc.) expectations to achieve overall acceptance of program objectives.\nRecognize the dynamic human aspects of each program stakeholder's expectations and manage accordingly.\nEffectively communicate program interdependencies and requirements, identify and mitigate risks, and resolve conflicts and issues.\n\n20%\n\n5\n\nSeek opportunities and implement continuous improvements to enhance project performance.\n\nIdentify, assess, and implement improvement opportunities which will add value.\n\n5%\n\nEducation/Experience/KSAs/Certifications/Languages\nDescribe the following qualifications in terms of minimum and preferred requirements.\n\nQualification\n\nMinimum Required\n\nPreferred\n\nEducation\n\nBachelor’s degree.\nApplicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.\n\nAdvanced degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing or Business.\n\nExperience\n\n10 years of experience as project manager leading and directing high complexity projects to successful completion.\n10 years in technical/engineering lead role and 10 years as project manager may be considered as equivalent. Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and solve complex problems.\nProven ability to analyze information for complex decision making.\n\n15 -20+ years of experience as project manager in a technical industry such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear or construction.\nBackground managing I&C or ES projects and/or projects involving China customers a plus.\n\nKSA (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities)\n\nMastery of Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge.\nRequired Competencies:\nChange Management\nCommunication\nDriving for Results\nEmployee Development\nInnovation\nPlanning and Organization\nStrategic Thinking\nTeamwork\nCost/Profit Oriented\nSuperior interpersonal skills such as effective verbal and written communications, ability to manage within complex team structures, able to develop relationships with stakeholders in upper management positions, able to analyze problems, establish facts, and make complex decisions autonomously.\nExpert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and Primavera or Microsoft Project.\nMastery of the transformation of data to information for visual reports; database concepts in order to manage data within systems; the interaction of company functions that are touch points to projects (Finance, Legal, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.).
