At Westinghouse, we recognize that our employees are our most valuable asset and we seek to identify, attract and recruit the most qualified talent while recognizing and encouraging the value of diversity in the global workplace.\nAbout the role:\nAs a Project Manager you will oversee the operation of a project(s)/contract(s) to include the safety and wellbeing of its employees, safeguarding company funds and property, and generally represents the company.\nYou will report to the Site Manager and be located in Waterford, CT.\nOn-Site\nResponsibilities:\nEnsure the adequacy of clearance orders and lockout/tagout to ensure personnel and equipment protection for the work being performed.\nStaff and de-staff craft personnel.\nResponsible for overall labor relations.\nResponsible for overall cost control.\nEnsure training/personnel qualifications are met and overall personnel performance.\nMaintain working knowledge of resources required to complete project.\nProvide direction and management of workforce.\nCoordinate and support workflow process to completion and within budget parameters.\nPredict risk and develop/implement mitigation strategies associated with engineering design, vendor activities, and craft installation activities.\nControl cost associated with engineering design, vendor contracts, and craft teams.Influence the actions of those not under direct control.\n Provide written and face-to-face communications with mid-level plant leaders (above first line supervisor).\n Provide intrusive management of vendor companies to monitor/control timelines, quality, and scope of deliverables.\nQualifications:\n5+ years of project management experience, with experience delivering projects on time and within budget\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent\nExperience with project management tools and software, such as Asana, Trello, or MS Project\nExperience with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall\nAbility to travel up to 20% of the time for project meetings and site visits\nWe are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
