We reimagine the possible across the nuclear industry every day.\nAbout the role:\nAs a Senior Structural Engineer you will contribute to design, analysis and documentation efforts, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements. This is a full-time job.\nYou will report to the Commodity Support Design manager and be located at our HQ in San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid. This is a hybrid position.\nMain Responsibilities:\nComplete independent engineering tasks and assume technical responsibility for assigned projects.\nReview and verify engineering work performed by others, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design standards.\nDevelop detailed specifications, technical reports, calculations, and sizing analyses.\nOriginate and validate engineering deliverables including drawings, design reviews, change control documents, and calculation notes.\nEnsure all work complies with applicable engineering codes, standards, and internal procedures.\nCollaborate within the global Westinghouse Engineering framework, engaging with senior engineers, provide guidance to Junior engineer and designers, and international teams.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree or higher in a Structural Engineering discipline.\nMinimum of 7 years of experience in Structural Engineering roles within the nuclear sector. We also value experience in energy, oil and gas, civil construction, or similar industries.\nExperience with structural design principles and experience producing high-quality technical documentation.Command of engineering codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks, including:Structural Eurocodes and Spanish Structural Code.\nFamiliarity with nuclear-related standards such as AISC, ASME, ASCE, and NRC guidelines.\nWork with technical standards and regulations in English.\n\nProficiency in engineering software tools such as GTStrudl, SAP2000 or RFEM.\nValued/desired experience in the structural assessment of bolted and welded joints\nFluent in both written and spoken Spanish and English.\nKnowledge of Project Management processes.\nWhy Westinghouse?\nWe know that to put forth your best effort, you need to be challenged and enjoy what you do in a supportive and respectful environment.
