This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) The Engineering & Construction Team is looking for a Sr. Substation Project Engineer.\nYou will be responsible for all assigned renewable generation substation projects from conception (Early Stage) through construction and commissioning (Execution).\nYou will lead a team of engineers and technical specialists that perform engineering functions. You will provide direction on projects to the department or project team members. You will report to the onsite manager.\nTravel between worksites and other locations is an essential job function and expectation of the position. You must hold a valid driver's license .\nLocation: Remote position with some travel.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.\nSecure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.\nConduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.\nIdentify challenges, measures, and validate results, and implements solutions.\nProvide information to internal and external clients on moderate to complex issues.\nCompetitively source, select and contracting geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services, and supporting the E&C Cost Estimating Team with scope assumptions.\nQualifications:\nCertified Professional Engineer (PE)\nSix Sigma Black Belt Certified\nSix Sigma Green Belt Certified\nSix Sigma Yellow Belt Certified\nBachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural engineering\n6+ years' experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects is helpfu..\nProject Engineering or Project Management experience\nPMP or P.E. in related discipline is helpful.\nSome travel required within North America.\nOur Safety Pledge to You:\nIf you are as committed to your success as we are committed to your safety, then this is the position for you!
