We reimagine the possible across the nuclear industry every day.\nAbout the role:\nAs a Automation Engineer you will join our design team in Mannheim, contributing to the development of specialized, often remotely operated, equipment used for repair processes on nuclear power plant components. You will participate in the full lifecycle of innovative tools and systems-from concept design through testing, qualification, and field deployment.\nYou will report to the Manager NDE & Special Products and be located at Mannheim\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop control software, graphic user interfaces and control systems for equipment used in the repair of critical nuclear power plant components.\nIntegrate electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components into fully functional systems.\nSupport the development, testing, and qualification of new equipment, including participation in customer reviews and on-site activities.\nPerform commissioning of new equipment at internal or supplier facilities.\nContribute to FOAK (First-Of-A-Kind) projects and drive products from prototype to maturity.\nPrepare comprehensive project documentation such as Work Instructions, Development Programs, Test Reports, and Bills of Materials, etc.\nProvide ongoing support for existing products, including troubleshooting, technician training, etc.\nContribute to active projects and work closely across departments, sites, and international teams.\nFoster collaboration across countries within the organization.\nQualifications:\nMin. 3 years of experience in development, design and testing of specialized electromechanical equipment.\nGerman in speaking and writing (mother tongue or C2-Level) - required\nEnglish in speaking and writing (min. B1, B2 preferred) - required\nFrench in speaking and writing (optional)\nAt least one high-level programming language.
