We reimagine the possible across the nuclear industry every day.\nAbout the role:\nAs a SSA Senior Engineer, you will be part of the Systems and Safety Analysis group. This group performs engineering evaluations and analyses of technical products and services. These efforts help operate the nuclear power plants in the nuclear safety and performance field. This is a full-time job.\nYou will report to the SSA Manager and be located at Nivelles. This is a hybrid position.\nMain Responsibilities:\nPerform a variety of engineering tasks to support nuclear power plants' operation. These tasks include preparation of inputs to run thermo-hydraulic codes for transient analyses. They also include preparation of fluid systems calculations for systems sizing or performances. Additionally, they include calculation of setpoints for nuclear power plants' operation, evaluation of emergency operation procedures changes, and control systems studies, among others.\nDevelop proficiency in thermo-hydraulic calculations for transient analyses and for systems evaluations.\nAssessment capability of dose calculations and radiological consequences of accidents.\nRun codes for safety analyses purposes.\nDocument analysis.\nPropose solutions to technical challenges that may arise during projects.\nHelp prepare licensing documentation.\nParticipate to integrated and international project teams and communicate with involved parties.\nOccasionally travel to customer sites or to Industry Group Workshops (to gather or present technical information).\nKnowledge of the Spanish nuclear regulatory body and regulations is an asset.\nQualifications:\nMaster's degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering, Physics; Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineer or Nuclear Engineering an asset.\nMore than 7 years of experience in safety analysis for nuclear power plants and systems design.\nApply fundamental engineering principles (including fluid mechanics and thermodynamics).\nTechnical interest, predisposition and understanding of project priorities and teamwork abilities required.\nFluent in English with reporting skills.\nWe value experience with codes (CFD, TRAC/RELAP, GOTHIC) and programming skills.\nWhy Westinghouse?\nWe know that to put forth your best effort, you need to be challenged and enjoy what you do in a supportive and respectful environment.
