This role will work a rotational shift schedule.\nThis is not a chef, culinary, food preparation, or kitchen-based position. The role is focused on network operations, answering and managing operational calls, coordinating with catering providers and internal airline teams, managing disruptions, making time-sensitive operational decisions, and driving recovery across the network.\nWorking from the OCC, the Catering Coordinator monitors catering operations and acts as the primary point of contact for day-of operational issues. The coordinator assesses operational impacts, determines appropriate recovery actions, communicates decisions, and coordinates solutions with airports, catering providers, and other operational stakeholders.\nThe successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced control-centre environment, managing multiple live issues simultaneously and making independent decisions where delays, aircraft changes, catering shortages, gate changes, diversions, cancellations, or other operational events require immediate action.\nResponsibilities\nServe as the Operations Control Centre's catering subject matter expert, providing real-time operational guidance, risk assessments, and recommendations during both normal and disrupted operations.\nManage catering-related operational disruptions and recovery efforts, including shortages, delays, aircraft substitutions, diversions, cancellations, and service impacts, while balancing guest experience, operational performance, and cost.\nAct as the primary liaison between network-level decision makers and catering providers, communicating operational impacts, service adjustments, recovery plans, and escalation requirements across the network.\nAdminister catering operational reporting and processes, including delay documentation and coding, review of catering-related incident hazard reports, coordination of vendor investigations, and escalation of recurring issues.\nDrive operational excellence and compliance by investigating root causes of operational issues, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and ensuring adherence to airline policies, food safety regulations, aviation security requirements, and operational standards.\nQualifications\n2-5 years of experience in airline operations, airport operations, inflight services, airline catering operations, or a related operational environment.\nExperience working in an Operations Control Centre, Network Operations Centre, or 24/7 operational environment is considered an asset.\nStrong understanding of airline operational processes and disruption management.\nKnowledge of airline delay coding and operational performance reporting is an asset.\n\nSkills\nStrong operational judgment, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.\nExcellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.\nStrong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while driving
