# Operations Lead - Halifax

As an Operations Lead, you will contribute to the safe and efficient daily maintenance of WestJet’s fleet, including the Boeing 737 NG, 737 MAX, and De Havilland Dash 8-400 (Q400). You’ll operate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where strong leadership, sound decision-making, and a commitment to safety are essential. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily operations by conducting pre-shift briefings, setting priorities, and coordinating maintenance activities across aircraft and components to support on-time dispatch Allocate and monitor workload for front-line employees, providing technical guidance and ensuring defects are resolved and maintenance releases are completed in accordance with MPM Chapter 11 Collaborate with internal teams (MCC, Planning, Engineering, QA, Stores, NDT) and external vendors to manage scheduled, unscheduled, and AOG maintenance activities Maintain quality control standards and ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations and WestJet-approved manuals, including QA spot checks and documentation accuracy Oversee manpower planning and scheduling in alignment
