You will work at the intersection of strategy, and technology, delivering projects that create measurable value for our guests, our people, and the business.\nOverview of the Role\nReporting to the Senior Manager, Technology Portfolio & Planning, the Senior Project Manager leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of medium to large, cross-functional projects, including technology implementations, enterprise initiatives, and business-led change. You will take work from approved intake through delivery and handover, applying WestJet's project delivery framework and governance gates, while keeping scope, schedule, budget, and resources aligned to the approved business case.\nSuccess in this role requires strong delivery discipline, clear communication with executives, and the ability to bring people together around a common objective in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead end-to-end delivery of technology, enterprise, and cross-functional projects through the project lifecycle and governance gates\nDevelop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths\nOwn project scope, budget, and resource plans; manage change control and forecast accurately with Finance\nPartner with business sponsors, technology teams, architects, vendors, and operational groups to align priorities and drive execution\nFacilitate steering committees, stage-gate reviews, and decision forums with clear recommendations\nIdentify, escalate, and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies across multiple workstreams\nMonitor project health and benefits realization; report status, variances, and outcomes to the portfolio and senior leadership\nSupport change management and operational readiness to ensure successful adoption and handover\nProvide leadership and direction to cross-functional project teams and contributors\nContribute to continuous improvement of WestJet's delivery methodology, templates, and tools\nExperience & Qualifications\nRequired Qualifications\n8+ years of progressive experience leading large-scale projects or programs, including technology delivery\nProven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholder groups\nStrong command of project management practices: scope, schedule, budget, resource, governance, and risk management\nProficiency with project and portfolio tools (e.g., MS Project, Planner, Jira, or similar)\nExceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills\nExperience working with and influencing executive leadership\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nBachelor's degree in business, Technology, or a related field\nPMP, Agile, Scrum, Lean, or related certification\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience delivering technology-enabled business transformation, including systems implementation and digital platforms\nExperience delivering both Waterfall and Agile/hybrid projects\nAirline, travel, hospitality, retail, or other service-industry experience\nExperience within a PMO or portfolio governance environment, including stage gates and funding approvals\nExperience in large, complex organizations undergoing enterprise change\nWho You Are\nYou are a strategic thinker who can connect big-picture objectives with practical execution plans.
