We work together to enhance peoples' lives through our products and presence in the communities in which we operate.\nSUMMARY\nThe Sr. Technical Analyst position is responsible for supporting and optimizing the Longview site's Information Systems (IS) and Information Technology (IT) applications and infrastructure that integrate with manufacturing and business operations. This role serves as the site subject matter expert for critical applications, databases, interfaces, servers, and supporting applications including but not limited to production planning, quality management, reporting, process visualization, and maintenance tracking.\nThe position provides both functional and technical leadership for application support, system enhancements, strategic planning, change management, and project execution in the Information Systems and Information Technology environments.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMay include, but are not limited to, the following:\nInformation Systems\nProvide administration, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and support for manufacturing and business applications.\n· Administer and maintain business-critical applications and relational databases.\nDevelop and maintain web-based application interfaces.\n· Monitor system performance, application interfaces, and critical services.\n· Troubleshoot and resolve application, server, database, and interface issues.\n· Manage support tickets, incidents, and service requests from business users.\n· Coordinate software updates, testing, and change management activities.\n· Ensure appropriate application security, access controls, and audit compliance.\n· Develop and deliver user training and maintain training materials.\nProvide hands-on support and technical guidance to site personnel.\nInformation Technology\nSupport IT network infrastructure that hosts and enables business-critical applications.\nMaintain and support network servers.\nMonitor performance and troubleshoot communication interface issues\nCoordinate, implement, and deploy updates and testing of network infrastructure.\nProject Execution and Strategic Planning\nDefine project scopes and objectives for new or modified application systems.\nDesign and implement application enhancements, interfaces, reports, and workflows.\nDevelop technical specifications and oversee implementation.\nPerform testing, validate functionality, and resolve defects.\nCoordinate with vendors, implementation partners, and internal stakeholders.\nEnsure solutions are scalable and support future business requirements.\nPartner with business leaders to identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvements.\nEvaluate system capabilities and recommend technology solutions.\nMaintain a 3-5 year strategic roadmap for assigned applications and processes.\nAssess impacts of proposed changes on future upgrades and operational requirements.\nTECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS\n· SQL relational database administration and development\n· .NET development (VB.NET and ASP.NET)\n· Web development skills (JSON and Java)\n· Microsoft applications\n· Excellent customer service and communication skills\n· Excellent ability to communicate technical concepts to end users and leadership\n· Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail\n· Strong ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment\n· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\n· Self-motivated with minimal supervision\n· Strong continuous improvement mindset\n· Desired strong experience in:\n· SAP technical skills (ABAP, S/4 HANA), configuration, interfaces, and maintenance\n· AVEVA OSI PI systems and interfaces\n· LIMS / ThermoFisher Sample Manager systems\n· Manufacturing data historian technologies\n· Network and virtual server configurations\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\n· College degree in the field of computer science or computer engineering required.\n· Minimum of 8 years equivalent work experience in software development and administration preferred.\n· Desired 8 years equivalent work experience in a manufacturing plant environment.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThis job is performed mainly in control room or office setting; physical presence is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; have full use and range of motion of arms, hands and fingers to reach, grasp, hold, push or pull, twist, and work with tools; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to perform tasks that may require bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lying down or working from elevated platforms. The employee must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to see details of objects that are more/less than a few feet away; see differences between colors, shades and brightness and determine the distance between objects. This job requires response to audible emergency alarms inside of the plant. Employee must be able to evacuate when required.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThe employee must be able to work in a normal factory environment, including enclosed spaces and exposure to various hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, flame retardant clothing, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators.
