We work together to enhance peoples' lives through our products and presence in the communities in which we operate.\nSUMMARY\nReporting to the Compounding Supervisor, the compounder will be responsible to participate in a team environment and undertake the tasks associated with compounding for extrusion lines in production department.\nMUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING CONTINENTAL SHIFTS\n******Shift Premium & Additional Incentives offered******\nRate of pay: $24.74/hr\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMay include, but are not limited to, the following:\nEnsure that good quality compound is available for production of siding for the extruders.\nEnsure that all safety and company policies are followed as compound is made available for production.\nResponsible for supplying lines with compound, pigments, regrind, etc.\nEnsure proper material goes into the correct silo.\nReceiving of materials during and after hours (afternoon and midnight shift).\nEnsure deliveries are store in the designated areas.\nHousekeeping duties (i.e. empty garbage central vacuum and regrind filter barrels).\nAssist Operator “II” with cleaning of regrind. Ensure all available regrind is being used.\nReceive materials i.e. loading and unloading of trucks.\nAssist with supplying lines with regrind when required.\nAssist with loading and unloading materials to platform when required.\nInspect screens between the conveyer and the extruder silos.\nParticipate in mid and year-end inventory count if required.\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS\nMust have completed Grade 12 or equivalent.\nForklift certification acquired through Company sponsored training program\nMust be conversant with all aspects of propane powered counter-balanced forklifts.\nComputer literate.\nAbility to perform basic mathematical functions.\nMust have strong communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills.\nMust be able to work straight night shift and rotating shift on a 12 hour continental shift format.\nWestlake is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
