We work together to enhance peoples' lives through our products and presence in the communities in which we operate.\nSUMMARY\nReporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation & setup of extrusion lines.\nMUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING CONTINENTAL SHIFTS\n******Shift Premium & Additional Incentives offered******\nRate of Pay: $22.80/hr\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMay include, but are not limited to, the following:\nAssists in starting up or shutting down an extrusion line in a safe and efficient manner.\nMust have the ability to run one extrusion line at a time.\nAssists in all set-ups of products and tooling using proper procedures.\nAssists with adjustments to the line to achieve maximum output while maintaining safety and quality.\nCompletes operator shift report, operator stat up pre-check and shut-down check lists.\nRelieves packers for breaks without neglecting the lines.\nHelps packers with labeling, gluing, lifting and flipping of boxes whenever possible without neglecting the lines.\nRemoves all drums of notches and nail slugs to the grinder.\nRemoves any tooling from the line that is not in use to the designated area as per procedure.\nParticipate in mid and year-end inventory count if required.\nAdjusts to new procedures & programs as required.\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS\nMust be able to work 12 hour Continental shift\nMust have completed Grade 12 or equivalent.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.\nExperience with the extrusion or other plastic processes, an asset.\nAbility to perform basic mathematical functions.\nMust have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.\nWestlake is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
