The Maintenance and Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, executing, and controlling maintenance work and facility projects, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintenance Management\nOversee planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance work orders, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety standards.\nCommunicate effectively with upstream and downstream partners regarding work status, costs and priorities.\nManage backlog queue and monitor notification and work order lists as required.\nEnsure maintenance personnel receive appropriate training, certifications, and skill refreshers, and maintain documentation of qualifications.\nCollaborate with Maintenance Reliability Specialists, Planners, Schedulers, and Crafts to continuously improve maintenance processes and job planning.\nDevelop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective support to operations.\nMaintain safe work practices and environmental responsibility.\nProject Management\nLead facility change projects including capital projects, from concept development through execution and closure.\nDevelop project goals, objectives, and justifications, including economic incentives.\nPrepare and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.\nAssemble and lead cross-functional project teams both internal and external (e.g., Process Engineers, Operations Representatives, Technical Specialists).\nIdentify and allocate resources; track progress, milestones, and deliverables.\nAnalyze and mitigate project risks; develop contingency plans.\nEnsure compliance with Management of Change procedures and other site-specific policies.\nDocument and communicate project status, lessons learned, and post-project reviews.\nLeadership & Teamwork\nSupervise, mentor, and develop the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nConduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide ongoing feedback to team members.\nContinuous Improvement\nSolicit and implement feedback on maintenance and project activities.\nStay current with new techniques and RAGAGEP in maintenance and project management.\nCelebrate team achievements and recognize contributions from all team members.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field preferred.\n5+ years of experience in maintenance supervision and/or project management, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical plant setting.\nStrong knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling systems (CMMS).\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.\nExcellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.\nKnowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the chemical industry (e.g., OSHA 29 CFR, PSM, NFPA 70B, API and ANSI).\nDesirable Skills\nExperience with capital project management methodologies.\nPreventive and Predictive Maintenance Technologies\n3-Phase electrical systems and distributions\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management/planning software.\nAutoCad\nAbility to analyze and optimize resource usage and workflow.\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate teams.\nSAP\nWestlake is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
