We work together to enhance peoples' lives through our products and presence in the communities in which we operate.\nSUMMARY\nReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the millwright will be responsible to participate in a team environment and undertake the tasks associated with maintenance, troubleshooting, fabricating and the installation of mechanical equipment.\nMUST BE ABLE TO WORK 12 HOUR ROTATING CONTINENTAL SHIFTS\n******Shift Premium & Additional Incentives offered******\nRate of pay: $48.60/hr\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMay include, but are not limited to, the following: \nTroubleshoot mechanical problems as required. \nInterpret all mechanical schematics. \nProperly uses all hand and power tools and precision measuring equipment. \nMaintain conveyor system, all compressors and pumps. \nPerform welding and soldering operations. \nInstall and maintain all fans, blowers, pneumatic systems. \nInstall and maintain pipe systems and valves. \nEnsure that all shop equipment is kept clean and in safe working order. \n“Call in” duty as per schedule. \nGeneral Maintenance. \nRead and interpret drawings, blue prints, schematics to determine layout of industrial equipment installations. \nInstall, examine replace or repair feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies. \nMaintain, repair, test and install hydraulic and pneumatic control systems. \nConduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records. \nMay install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices. \nMaintain safety and environmental regulations and plant operability as top priorities as maintenance duties take place. \nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS\nMust hold a valid industrial mechanic/millwright certificate. \nMinimum of 7 years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. \nKnowledge of calipers and other measuring devices. \nMust have knowledge of computer skills using MS Office products. \nAbility to read prints. \nAbility to work safely at heights is required. \nExperience operating scissor lifts and Genie booms is considered an asset. \nMust be able to work Continental Shift\nWestlake is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
