He or she is responsible for the efficient operation of the production equipment and required to perform the following duties.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.\nPerform the primary thinking encompassed by this job description.\n\nComply with all Company policies and procedures.\n\nMaintain operation of multiple lines, including loading gaskets and packaging end product for shipment.\n\nVisually inspect product for quality assurance purposes.\n\nMeasure and record pipe dimensions as required. Take the proper action according to SPC Charting\n\nControl dimensions to maintain pipe specifications with direct supervision.\n\nMove bundled pipe from work area (scrap and good product).\n\nAssist in production line start-up activities and changeovers.\n\nFollow all operational and safety procedures.\n\nCut and band scrap as directed.\n\nMaintain a clean, safe and orderly work area per established housekeeping standards.\n\nUnderstand Belling Operations.\n\nReport any equipment malfunctions, product defects or unsafe conditions immediately.\n\nRead and Understand SOP’s contained in Operator Manual\n\nRelieve and assist other operators as needed.\n\nWork as a team with other personnel.\n\nOther duties as required\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Prior experience or training preferred.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable English words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS \nAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
