We work together to enhance peoples' lives through our products and presence in the communities in which we operate.\nJOB SUMMARY\nThe primary responsibility of this position will be to ensure only quality-approved product is packaged for the customer. This includes extrusion or injection molding, weathering, trimming, inspection, and packing. The goal will be to help keep the extrusion lines running or the molding machines running continuously and efficiently while producing a product that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\n· Comply with Safety Policies and Procedures\n· Reads Production Schedule boards and performs work as assigned by shift supervisor\n· Inspects, feeds, and/or packs product for Work In Process (WIP) or finished product\n· Maintains standard production cycles on nonrobotic molding machines\n· Detect quality defects in molded parts, trim the molded part and assemble the molded part\n· Ensure that product has appropriate Lot Information printed on each product\n· Build/assemble boxes\n· Attach appropriate labels to boxes\n· Notify supervisor of any safety, quality, mechanical, or material issues\n· Completes production documentation\n· Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor\n· Notify Management/Supervisor of any quality or equipment issues\nRegular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\n· Work eight to twelve-hour shift\n· Perform tasks as defined in Standard Work Instructions\n· Must perform basic math functions\n· Distinguish colors visually\n· Basic literacy skills required to clearly and legibly complete required paperwork\n· Teamwork Orientation\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\nThe employee should have the following:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade preferred\n1 - 2 years' experience in a relevant field\nESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT\n· Must be able to work standing for up to 8-12 hours/shift.\n· Must be able to kneel, squat, bend/twist at the waist, and stack parts at or above head height\n· Must have full range of motion (ROM) of shoulders, knees, hips, elbows, wrists, and hands to inspect, pack, and stack finished parts\n· Must be able to complete repetitive tasks to keep up with IMM cycle times as fast as every 30 seconds\n· Must be able to wear compliant ear protection if and when, working in areas exposed to noise levels above OSHA threshold limits\n· Must be able to work in hot environments (Especially summer months) that can exceed 100F\n· Wear all required personal protective equipment (Safety toe shoes, ANSI Z87 eye protection, CR gloves)\n· Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds\n· Ability to move or traverse about the facilities\n· Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders\n· Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions\nWestlake is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
