We work together to enhance peoples' lives through our products and presence in the communities in which we operate.\nJOB SUMMARY\nThe Machine OperatorIunder the supervision of the Production Supervisor may perform any of the jobs listed below.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nComply withWestlakeSafety Policies and Procedures\n\nRegular attendance, timelinessand scheduling flexibility\n\nWater Treatment: Treatprocess water by adding flocculent to disperse solids. Check PH before discharging to city. Follow SOP. Daily log all discharge to city with a supervisor’s approval.\n\nSorter: Inspect the tile on the dry side and is responsible forthe sealer area including cleaning the sealer booth\n\nStrapping Machine: Responsible forrunning strapping machine to secure pallets of tile\n\nKiln Exit Operator: Responsible for quality checks of the tile and packaging of the tile\n\nClean equipment and the areas daily. Notify supervisor or Lead person of any problems are identified\n\nAll other duties as assigned by supervisor\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLSAND ABILITIES\nBasic mathematical skills (i.e.ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide)\n\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE\nAble to read, comprehendand follow simple instructions, required.\n\n6 months to 1 year of color or tile manufacturing experience required.\n\n6 months Forklift driving experience desired\n\nESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKENVIRONMENT\nThe employee should possessthe ability to:\nComplete repetitive movements such as typing\n\nComplete repetitive movements\n\nMust be able to work independently\n\nWork in a fast-paced environment\n\nAbility to efficiently multi task\n\nLift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds\n\nAbility to move or traverse about the facilities\n\nRate: $21.31 hour\nOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US markets.
