The Lead Quality Inspector assumes the Supervisor role in the absence of the regular Supervisor.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMay include, but are not limited to, the following:\nConduct morning final inspection of previous 24 hours of production.\nMust work safely and maintain a safe, clean work environment, and perform available work as required by the supervisor.\nComply with all Company policies and procedures.\nPerform all duties and responsibilities required of A, B, and C Quality Assurance Technicians.\nChecks the quality of finished goods, including those loaded for delivery, and returned goods for acceptance to stock.\nReviews stocked pipe periodically and identifies damaged product to be removed from inventory.\nProficient with micrometers, calipers, OD Tapes, Tape Measure, Durometer and all other associated equipment.\nMust ensure that all Westlake, NSF, UL and ASTM standards are followed and all finished products are within specification.\nIn the absence of the QA Supervisor; represents Westlake during agency audits.\nMaintains communication of Quality issues to Plant Management in absence of QA Supervisor.\nResponsible for operation of the testing equipment, including necessary adjustments, set up, changeovers, packaging, and other related operations. \nRequired to operate at optimum rate and according to standards. \nMust record and maintain accurate and legible paperwork as required.\nData entry in to the computer database. (SAP, and other Spreadsheets as required)\nMonitor updates to specifications and update Operator Logs as necessary.\nAll other duties as assigned by management.\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma or GED. Three years’ experience or training/education in production and/or quality control, demonstration of requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes, satisfactory attendance and safety record. \nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
