This is a combined value of $3 to 10MM in operations budgeted items as well as CAPEX related purchases and approximately 4000 purchase orders annually.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMay include, but are not limited to, the following:\nWork with established vendors to procure goods for maintenance, operations, and CAPEX project related activities.\nConvert requisitions into PO’s crafted by other plant personnel.\nAssist with bid comparisons where required in terms of crafting PO’s per policy.\nProcess purchase orders in SAP for tangible goods, packaging, operating, and project supplies.\nPurchase materials for the Plant in a manner which assures that the most economical advantage to the Company has been attained.\nExpedite orders that are critical to the operation of the Plant and those orders that are behind schedule.\nLead in preparing and maintaining Preferred Vendor File based on previous cost, quality of service, reliability and types of goods and materials.\nWork with Accounting in resolving purchase/billing discrepancies; warehouse stores and other departments in expediting, scheduling, contracts, and specifications.\nEnsure that purchases comply with current D.O.A.\nManagement of LTL/TL/Hot Shot Shipment of goods as needed.\nLead VIM management on a daily basis by supplying a goods receipt number or approving Service purchase orders and dealing with invoicing issues.\nAssist operators, maintenance techs, and contractors on a daily basis for requested stores items.\nBackfill for other Purchasing Personnel when they are absent due to illness or vacation.\nExecute annually the spare parts count for the Gallman Site.\nHandle and stock daily arrivals of goods into the storeroom and other areas of the plant.\nEnsure storeroom tickets are filled out on a daily basis so replacement items can be ordered accordingly.\nEnsure storeroom is organized and orderly.\nRespond to after-hours calls as needed.\nAssist in the preparation of purchasing contracts, Master Agreement for Terms and Conditions Services and Goods.\nAssist with reporting and tracking Supplier conformance and non-conformance.\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma is required.\nTen years of experience in maintenance, operations, or supply chain in the manufacturing industry (preferably the manufacturing of compounds) is required.\nTechnical certifications or college education is preferred.\nExperience in operations, maintenance or shipping in a compounds plant is highly desired.\nMust be proficient in the use of SAP, MS Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams.\nMust develop an ability to type 25-30 words a minute and use of 10-Key.\nMust have effective interpersonal, analytical, and negotiating skills.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office.
