For more information, visit westmag.com.\nAbout the role\nAs an Assembly Technician at Westmag, you will be responsible for the precision assembly, testing, and quality inspection of the motors and actuators that power leading drone and robotics platforms. Working on a fast-paced production line, you will be on the frontlines of American reindustrialization, building high quality hardware products, and contributing to continuous improvement as we scale production.\nResponsibilities\nAssemble motor and actuator mechanical components to engineering specifications.\n\nWind, terminate, and connect motor coils and stator windings per assembly drawings.\n\nInstall bearings, magnets, shafts, and encoder/sensor sub-assemblies using appropriate tooling.\n\nApply adhesives, potting compounds, and thermal interface materials as required.\n\nPerform continuity, insulation resistance, and back-EMF testing on completed motor assemblies.\n\nPerform visual and functional inspections at multiple points in the production process.\n\nRecord test data and production metrics in the manufacturing execution system (MES).\n\nFollow standardized assembly procedures while documenting production progress.\n\nIdentify and escalate non-conforming parts or process deviations to the production lead.\n\nSupport rework, repair, and validation activities on returned or out-of-spec assemblies.\n\nRequired qualifications\nGED, high school diploma, or higher.\n\nAbility to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.\n\nStrong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small, fine-pitch components.\n\nAbility to record data accurately and consistently follow documented work instructions.\n\nReliable attendance and the ability to meet production targets in a fast-paced environment.\n\nAuthorized to work in the United States.\n\nAbility to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.\n\nPreferred qualifications\n1+ years of experience in electronics assembly, lab work, or a related technician role.\n\nSoldering experience (PCB or wire).\n\nElectronics repair experience (smartphones, PCs, or similar devices).\n\nDrone / UAS piloting experience.\n\nFamiliarity with ESD handling procedures or working in an MES-driven production environment.\n\nWork environment & physical requirements\nOn-site role on a climate-controlled production floor with moderate machinery noise.\n\nAbility to stand or sit at a workbench for extended periods.\n\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.\n\nComfortable working with small components under magnification.\n\nUse of PPE including lab coats, safety glasses, and gloves as required.\n\nExposure to adhesives, solvents, and soldering fumes;
