For more information, visit westmag.com.\nAbout the Internship & Co-op Program\nWestmag offers exciting Internship and Co-op opportunities for students eager to gain hands-on experience in the fields of engineering, operations, product development and business functions. Interns and co-op students will work closely with full time engineers, contributing to impactful projects that support Westmag's mission to innovate in drone motor manufacturing.\nRole Description\nWork alongside the software team to build and maintain internal web applications and services that support Westmag’s engineering and manufacturing operations.\n\nDevelop full-stack features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js, backed by PostgreSQL databases.\n\nHelp containerize, deploy, and operate services on AWS, including improving CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.\n\nSupport integrations between factory equipment, test stations and software systems, including data collection and monitoring.\n\nWrite automated tests, contribute to code reviews and technical documentation, and take on research tasks as assigned.\n\nCollaborate with engineering, operations and production teams to turn real factory needs into working software.\n\nEligibility & Qualifications\nCurrently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related undergraduate or graduate program.\n\nStrong interest in robotics, drone technology, manufacturing or technology startups.\n\nPrevious internship, personal projects or project-based student org experience (Formula SAE, Rocketry, Design Build Fly, hackathons, etc.).\n\nAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.\n\nGood communication skills and willingness to learn.\n\nAuthorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship/co-op period.\n\nTechnical Skills\nStrong TypeScript/JavaScript skills; comfortable with React and Node.js.\n\nExperience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).\n\nFluency with Git and the command line; Linux basics.\n\nFamiliarity with Docker and container-based deployment.\n\nAWS fundamentals (ECS, RDS, IAM, CloudFront/ALB); Terraform a plus.\n\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).\n\nNetworking basics: DNS, TLS/certificates, subnets, firewalls, and VPN.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with MQTT or other industrial/IoT protocols.\n\nExperience writing automated tests (unit, integration, or end-to-end).\n\nWestmag is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
