In both the public and private sectors, our teams help identify, solve, mitigate, and manage critical environmental issues to help clients achieve a more sustainable future.\nWeston is seeking aQuality Control Manager that is thedesignated on-site individual responsible for the overall management of Contractor Quality Control and has the authority to act in all CQC matters for the Contractor. Employed by the prime Contractor, this position is always present at the siteduring construction and manages all quality control activities, including the three phases of control, required documentation, inspections, and testing personnel.\nLocation: Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA\nExpected Outcomes\nProvide effective, continuous on-site leadership of the Contractor Quality Control program throughout construction.\nExercise authority to act on all CQC matters for the Contractor and maintain accountability for overall quality management.\nPlan, manage, and coordinate the three phases of control for applicable features of work.\nMaintain complete, accurate, and timely quality control documentation required by the Contract.\nCoordinate required inspection and testing personnel to verify that work complies with contract requirements.\nMaintain qualified coverage through an approved alternate whenever the primary Quality Control Manager is absent.\nKey Responsibilities\nServe as the designated CQC Manager within the on-site work organization and manage all Contractor Quality Control activities.\nAct with authority on all CQC matters on behalf of the prime Contractor.\nAlways remain on-siteduring construction, subject to approved alternate coverage.\nManage and coordinate the preparatory, initial, and follow-up phases of control for applicable features of work.\nCoordinate inspections, tests, testing personnel, and other quality control resources required by the Contract.\nPrepare, maintain, and submit required CQC documentation and quality records.\nCommunicate quality requirements, observations, deficiencies, corrective actions, and follow-up expectations to project personnel and subcontractors.\nCoordinate with project management, superintendents, safety personnel, subcontractors, testing agencies, and government representatives.\nIdentify quality concerns and verify that corrective actions are completed before affected work proceeds or is accepted.\nIdentify an equally qualified alternate in the CQC plan to perform the role during the Quality Control Manager’s absence.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.\nMinimum of four years of construction experience on work similar tothe requirements of this Contract.\nDemonstrated ability to manage an on-site Contractor Quality Control program and coordinate multiple quality activities.\nKnowledge of construction inspection, testing, documentation, deficiency tracking, and corrective action processes.\nAbility to manage and coordinate the three phases of control.\nAbility to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and quality control procedures.\nStrong leadership, organization, documentation, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to coordinate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, testing personnel, and government representatives.\nAbility to maintain a full-time on-site presence during construction.\nAlternate Quality Control Manager Requirements:\nThe CQC plan must identify an alternate who will serve during the primary Quality Control Manager’s absence.\nThe alternate must meet the same education, construction experience, and qualification requirements as the primary Quality Control Manager.\nThe alternate must be prepared to assume the same authority, duties, and responsibilities whenever serving in the role.\nWe Fully Invest in Our People.
