In both the public and private sectors our teams help identify, solve, mitigate, and manage critical environmental issues to help clients achieve a more sustainable future.\nThe Site Investigation & Remediation (SIR) Project Manager leads environmental investigation, remediation, due diligence, and compliance projects for commercial, industrial, federal, and municipal clients. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and health & safety while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and project teams.\nThe Project Manager assembles and leads multidisciplinary teams supporting site characterization, environmental investigations, remedial design, remediation implementation, groundwater monitoring, corrective actions, and environmental compliance programs. The successful candidate fosters strong client relationships, ensures technical excellence, identifies opportunities for follow-on work, and supports the development of junior environmental professionals and project managers.\nThis position is remote within Michigan with periodic travel to project sites, client locations, and regulatory meetings.\nLocation:Remote, State of Michigan\nExpected Outcomes:\nDevelop and maintain trusted relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. \nSuccessfully manage environmental investigation and remediation projects from proposal through project closeout. \nLead multidisciplinary teams of environmental scientists, geologists, engineers, field staff, and subcontractors. \nManage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and health & safety performance. \nEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including Michigan EGLE requirements. \nCoordinate and oversee site assessments, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, remedial investigations, feasibility evaluations, corrective action programs, and remediation activities. \nCommunicate project objectives, risks, schedules, and deliverables to clients and project teams. \nIdentify potential project issues early and implement corrective actions to maintain project performance. \nPrepare and review technical reports, work plans, cost estimates, schedules, and client deliverables. \nManage subcontractors, laboratories, drilling contractors, and specialty service providers. \nEnsure timely invoicing, accounts receivable management, and achievement of project financial performance goals. \nSupport proposal development, technical approaches, cost estimating, and profitability planning. \nProcure additional follow-onwork and expand client relationships within existing accounts. \nMentor and develop junior staff, task managers, and emerging project managers. \nPromote a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement. \nConsistently meet project profitability, utilization, and business performance objectives.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. \n6-10 years of progressive experience managing environmental consulting projects involving site investigation, remediation, environmental compliance, or due diligence. \nExperience managing projects under Michigan environmental regulations and working with Michigan EGLE preferred. \nDemonstrated experience implementing and managing site characterization, groundwater investigations, corrective actions, remediation systems, and environmental restoration projects. \nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting client expectations and financial targets. \nUnderstanding of CERCLA, RCRA, Brownfields, underground storage tanks, PFAS investigations, corrective action programs, and related environmental regulations. \nStrong client relationship management and business development skills. \nExperience developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and proposals. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report preparation and client presentations. \nAbility to identify and resolve project, technical, schedule, and budget challenges. \nStrong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior environmental professionals. \nOSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred (or ability to obtain).\nWe fully invest in our people:Weston provides a generous,comprehensive benefits package program that offers employees high value options with solid financial protection, meeting the personal needs of its people and their families.\nMedical, Dental, Vision, 401K with base and matching employer stock contributions.\nPaid time off includes personal, holiday and parental.\nLife and disability plans.\nCritical illness and accident plans.\nWork/Life flexibility.\nProfessional development opportunities.\nCompensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.\nSalary Range: $87,612 -
