This role is well-suited for a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) (Civil, Environmental, Structural, Chemical, or Mechanical) who combines strong project management capabilities with technical expertise and a drive to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.\nThe Project Manager leads projects with defined scope and multiple stakeholders, including clients, internal project teams, and subcontractors. This individual is accountable for assembling and leading project teams, managing scope, schedule, and budget, and delivering projects that meet Weston’s technical, financial, and operational commitments. The Project Manager builds trusted client relationships, aligns expectations, and contributes to business growth through successful project delivery and follow-on opportunities.\nLocation: Austin, TX\nExpected Outcomes:\nProject & Technical Leadership\nLeads municipal water/wastewater projects of moderate to advanced scope and complexity, often involving multidisciplinary teams and multiple subcontractors.\nUsesengineering judgment to guide technical execution, identify risks, and resolvecomplex project challenges.\nEnsures all project deliverables meet applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.\nClient & Stakeholder Management\nBuilds and maintains strong, trust-based relationships with clients,utility districts (MUDs), regulators, and key stakeholders.\nServes as a primary point of contact, effectively communicating project status, risks, and technical concepts.\nAligns stakeholder expectations and secures follow-on work through successful project delivery.\nTeam Leadership & Development\nAssembles and leads high-performing project teams, leveraging technical strengths to achieve project objectives.\nProvides mentorship and development for junior and mid-level staff, including engineers pursuing licensure and emerging project managers.\nFosters a collaborative, accountable team environment and resolves conflicts to maintain project performance.\nProject Execution & Financial Performance\nManages scope, schedule, and budget to consistently meet or exceed financial and operational metrics (e.g., NIBT, margins, DSO).\nOversees subcontractor performance and ensures compliance with Weston procurement and quality requirements.\nProactively identifies risks and implements corrective actions to maintain project success.\nEnsures timely and accurate invoicing and actively manages receivables.\nBusiness Development & Growth\nContributes to business development through client relationship management, identification of opportunities, and support of capture strategies.\nSupports or leads proposal efforts, including scope development, technical approach, estimating, and profitability planning.\nLeverages project success to expand client relationships and generate repeat business.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.\nProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Texas is required, or able to obtain within 3 months of hire.\n10+ years of experience managing engineering, environmental, or infrastructure-related projects.\n5+ years of experience as a project manager.\nDemonstrated experience leading projects of increasing complexity, including coordination of multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.\nStrong understanding of engineering design processes, project delivery methods, and regulatory compliance frameworks.\nProven ability to manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability.\nStrong client relationship management skills with the ability to develop and grow accounts.\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences.\nAbility to lead teams effectively in dynamic environments and adapt to changing project conditions.\nDemonstrated ability to balance technical leadership with project management and business objectives.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-growth regional market.\nWe fully invest in our people:Weston provides a generous,comprehensive benefits package program that offers employees high value options with solid financial protection, meeting the personal needs of its people and their families.\nMedical, Dental, Vision, 401K with base and matching employer stock contributions.\nPaid time off includes personal, holiday and parental.\nLife and disability plans.\nCritical illness and accident plans.\nWork/Life flexibility.\nProfessional development opportunities.\nCompensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.\nSalary Range: $87,612 -
