# Senior Engineer, KDB

What’s the role? Join our Financial Markets Technology team and help support and evolve the KDB+ platform underpinning Westpac’s electronic FX and Fixed Income trading capabilities. Working closely with engineers, quants and traders, you’ll design, develop and support high-performance KDB+/q solutions across areas such as pricing, algorithmic execution, market making, risk analytics and research. You’ll also contribute to the stability, performance and ongoing evolution of our global KDB+ environment. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting, maintaining and enhancing the global KDB+ estate. Designing efficient, high-performance solutions to complex trading requirements. Partnering with traders, quants and engineers to deliver reliable and compliant technology solutions. Testing and validating solutions against business, regulatory and risk requirements. Identifying opportunities to improve the KDB+ platform and development practices. Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
