You will lead the delivery of impactful features and help define system behaviours that serve global customers in the EU and APAC.\n\nResponsibilities: \nDesign and implement scalable backend systems and APIs.\nLead design discussions and own features end-to-end.\nIdentify and address tech debt, bottlenecks, and reliability concerns.\nWrite high-quality, testable code and support DevOps automation.\nDrive observability, performance, and service reliability improvements.\nMentor and support the development of junior and mid-level engineers.\nParticipate in cross-team technical planning and retrospectives.\n\nRequirements: \n5-8 years of professional backend engineering experience.\nExpertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and relational databases.\nExperience with AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows.\nExposure to distributed systems and event-driven architecture (Kafka preferred).\nStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation skills.\nExcellent collaboration and communication skills.\nExperience mentoring or leading peers in technical areas.\n\nTech Stack: \nJava Spring Boot REST APIs, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS gRPC CI/CD Git.\nPrometheus Grafana.\n\nIt would be nice if you had: \nExperience with electric vehicle charging data and protocols (e. g.
