As a Full Stack Software Developer, you will be joining the WEX OTR Value Added Services team and will focus on designing, building , enhancing and maintaining our web applications interacting with our end customers and partners. Our highly autonomous team uses Agile development principles and the embedded DevOps model to deliver across the full software life cycle - from development to release to maintenance and operations.\nHow you'll make an impact\nLead the design and implementation of complex backend features, distributed microservices, and asynchronous REST APIs optimized for high throughput, low latency, and fault tolerance.\nDesign event-driven data pipelines, real-time message integrations, serverless functions, and distributed caching strategies to ensure data consistency and synchronization between modern and legacy data stores.\nImplement advanced error handling (retry patterns, circuit breakers), automated database migrations, and secure authentication/authorization flows (OAuth 2.0, JWT, RBAC).\nImplement micro frontend (MFE) architecture and low latency user interface systems.\nManage cloud infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code (IaC), optimize containerized environments, and establish robust observability stacks (distributed tracing, metrics, logging).\nMaintain excellent automated test coverage (unit, integration, load testing), drive performance profiling, and foster team growth through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance.\nExperience you will bring\n5+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years with high-level backend languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java), frontend development (Angular) and 2+ years scaling production distributed systems.\nStrong command of microservices communication, event streaming/message brokers, containerization, and /event-sourcing concepts.\nHands-on experience with major cloud ecosystems (serverless compute, managed storage, IAM), IaC tools, and secure API design principles.\nExceptional analytical and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to take absolute ownership of technical initiatives and lead alignment discussions in agile environments.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience bridging modern cloud architectures with legacy database infrastructure.\nExperience optimizing automated CI/CD pipelines, high-availability setups, and disaster recovery planning.\nFamiliarity with advanced telemetry dashboards (Prometheus/Grafana) and performance profiling
