This role requires a strategic mindset, advanced problem-solving skills, and a higher level of leadership to manage complex tasks and drive process improvements. A Senior Team Leader will manage the flow of cash into WEX and its subsidiaries with a strong focus on compliance, financial risk mitigation, and operational excellence.\nHow you'll make an impact\nOversee and ensure the accurate and timely application of payments received from customers to receivable accounts by providing advanced leadership and development to the team.\nCollaborate closely with Receivables, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues with customer postings or misapplied cash promptly.\nLead and manage the daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reporting with a higher level of oversight.\nCoordinate and interface with WEX Bank and the WEX Accounting team, ensuring seamless integration with the General Ledger and daily cash/accounts receivable journal entries.\nDesign, streamline, and execute processes and procedures that incorporate controls to mitigate financial risk while emphasizing efficiency and accuracy of transactions.\nIdentify and drive process improvement and automation opportunities, working with respective functions to implement suggestions.\nRespond to requests for financial information from internal and external stakeholders, including internal and external auditors, with a higher level of detail and accuracy.\nOversee the onboarding and integration of subsidiaries and new acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with financial policies.\nWork closely with the Treasury and IT groups to coordinate lockbox activity, resolve file issues with various banks (both incoming and outgoing), and represent operations on bank or Treasury initiatives.\nProvide leadership to the team, including holding team meetings and one on ones, setting goals, delivering metrics, and conducting performance reviews.\nCoordinate work distributions, training schedules, PTO and holiday coverage calendars, and oversee process documentation.\nMentor and develop team leaders, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent leadership across the department.\nProactively identify and embrace opportunities to integrate AI and automation technologies into operational processes. This includes initiatives to drive scale, reduce reliance on manual processes, and mitigate operational risks. \nThese statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed rather than give an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities.\nExperience you'll bring\nMinimum Required Qualifications for Consideration\nAt least 1 year of proven senior leadership experience in finance-related fields.\n7+ years of financial experience in Accounts Receivable, banking, Accounts Payable, or another applicable area.\n1-3 years of experience in managing high-level financial processes and teams.\nMust successfully pass a background investigation and drug screening.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExtensive experience with Accounts Receivable reconciliations.\nDeep understanding of a wide range of cash management and Treasury products and technologies.\nAdvanced knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes and systems in a high transaction volume environment.\nProven ability to lead meetings effectively, manage multiple projects concurrently, and drive strategic initiatives.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage complex tasks.\nExceptional ability to work with, motivate, and develop a team, leveraging individual talents and fostering a collaborative environment.\nEnthusiasm for automation, AI, and emerging technologies, with a desire to explore their application in business processes.\nThe base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
