accessible, and actionable insights- empowering clients, operations, and product teams through data-driven decision making.\nRole Overview\nAs a Staff Data Engineer, you will serve as a key technical leader in designing and implementing data and reporting solutions across the Snowflake consumption layerand our reporting ecosystem.\nYou’ll work closely with the Data Platform, Product, and Analyticsteams to build reliable data pipelines, reporting models, APIs, and self-service tools that ensure trust, transparency, and performance in our data products.\nThis role combines data platform expertisewith reporting system design- ideal for someone who can bridge upstream data architecture with downstream business intelligence needs.\nKey Responsibilities\nArchitecture & Design\nArchitect and implement scalable reporting data models in Snowflaketo support ThoughtSpot and Power BI consumption.\n\nDesign and maintain robust semantic models, data sharing mechanisms, and APIsfor downstream consumers.\n\nPartner with the Data Platform team to align ingestion, conformance, and consumption patterns across ADLS, Iceberg, Airflow, and IICS.\n\nDefine and implement data governance, quality validation, and security standardsacross reporting pipelines.\n\nDelivery & Ownership\nBuild performant, reusable data transformations and APIs for reporting and dashboards.\n\nIntegrate with Snowflake Data Sharing, webhooks, and REST/GraphQLendpoints to deliver customer-facing insights.\n\nLead proof-of-concepts for new reporting frameworks and data sharing capabilities.\n\nEnsure reliability, accuracy, and auditability across all data presented to end users.\n\nQuality & Observability\nImplement data validation and quality frameworks(e.g., dbt tests, Great Expectations).\n\nMonitor data freshness and pipeline health through observability tools and Snowflake monitoring.\n\nCollaborate with DAAS and Platform teams to triage and resolve data quality issues.\n\nCollaboration & Mentorship\nPartner with product managers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.\n\nMentor engineers in data modeling, performance tuning, and best practices for Snowflake and BI systems.\n\nContribute to documentation, standards, and architecture reviews.\n\nQualifications\nRequired\nStrong experience in data engineering, data products, or BI systems.\n\nDeep expertise in:\nSnowflake- modeling, performance optimization, RBAC, and data sharing.\n\nSQL- advanced queries, window functions, analytical optimizations.\n\nThoughtSpot / Power BI- data modeling, embedding, semantic layer design.\n\nPython / PySpark- data transformations and automation.\n\nAirflow, Informatica IICS, or equivalent for orchestration.\n\nAzure ecosystem- ADLS, ADF, and related services.\n\nStrong understanding of data modeling patterns(star schema, Iceberg, medallion architecture).\n\nFamiliarity with Kafka / Debeziumfor CDC-based ingestion.\n\nExperience building or consuming REST / GraphQL APIsfor data products.\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field\n\nA Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or Statistics is a strong plus.\n\nPreferred\nHands-on with dbt, Great Expectations, or similar data quality frameworks.\n\nExperience embedding analytics through ThoughtSpot Everywhereor APIs.\n\nKnowledge of Iceberg table management, webhooks, and event-driven pipelines.\n\nBackground in
