The position requires effective collaboration with colleagues, clients, and external agencies.\n\nWhat you will do\nPlan and conduct complex engineering assignments with minimal supervision.\nModify established guidelines and devise new approaches to meet project requirements.\nApply existing criteria in new ways and draw conclusions from comparative situations.\nDevelop and recommend improvements in design standards to lower costs or enhance work quality.\nProviding technical guidance on projects involving sewer systems, water management, earthworks, and road infrastructure.\nInvestigate and solve unusual design and field engineering problems by devising new approaches or applying existing criteria in innovative ways.\nInitiate and develop guidelines and investigations for other team members.\nCoordinate difficult and responsible tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.\nEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and external agencies.\nDiscuss design problems, explain design features and specifications, and outline project control criteria.\nEstablish and maintain client contacts to seek or provide technical information related to projects.\nCommunicate effectively with clients to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.\nManage mid-sized to large projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and performance objectives.\nPrepare progress reports, recommend design changes, estimate costs, and recommend payments for completed work.\n\nWhat you bring to the table \nBachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).\nProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent certification required.\nMinimum of 7 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably within a consulting environment.\nStrong knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and best practices.\nProven ability to solve complex engineering problems using innovative approaches.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, colleagues, and external agencies.\nProficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.\nProject management experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage mid-sized to large projects.\n\nLife at WalterFedy \nAs a national, innovative, multi-discipline design and construction collective, our ambition goes beyond great design – we are here to enhance the world around us.
