This role will provide you with an opportunity to develop as a Contract Administrator – Architecture and Engineering while also allowing you to work towards developing a unique skill set as an expert in integrated design.\nThe Contract Administrator – Architecture and Engineering is responsible for providing construction and contract administrator support in the day-to-day functions of our Architectural teams. The Contract Administrator will do this through coordination and preparation of documents for all project phases starting from pre-qualification and tendering, through to close-outs. This role will require the Contract Administrator to work on multiple projects and with various administrators at one time. \nWhat We Love\nYou are ambitious in your pursuit to be the best\nYou get the importance of paying attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture\nYou embrace progressive change, out-of-the-box thinking, and working in a high-energy environment\nWhat You Will Do\nPreparation of start-up meeting minutes.\nParticipate in construction meetings and provide technical guidance regarding project documentation and industry best practices.\nQuality Assurance and Quality Control Reviews.\nPreparation and tracking of requests for information, supplemental instructions, proposed changes, change orders.\nRouting, tracking and review of shop drawings.\nConduct regular site visits. prepare field reviews and deficiency review reports.\nRouting, tracking and review of close-out documents.\nParticipate in pre-qualification and tendering procedures which include preparation of bid invitations, bidders’ record lists, addenda, tender evaluation reports, tender not accepted letters and letters of intent.\nCCDC contract preparation and administration. \nPreparation of certificate of payments.\nPreparation of substantial performance certificates and sign-off letters.\nRegulatory compliance and coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction. \nScheduling one-year warranty walk-throughs.\nCoordinate and communicate regularly with contract administrators, designers, contractors and owners.\nWhat you bring to the table \nMinimum of 4 years of experience in an architectural or engineering office environment, working in a construction administrator capacity.\nDegree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building Science, or related discipline.\nExperience administering CCDC contracts and coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.\nExperience conducting construction site reviews and preparing field reports.\nExcellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. \nExcellent proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and Construction document management platforms.\nExperience with Autodesk Revit, LEED Accreditation and PMP designation considered assets.\nSelf-motivated and has demonstrated initiative\nStrong problem-solving, conflict-resolution abilities, sound judgment in evaluating construction issues and contract compliance matters.\nAbility to balance multiple priorities\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction and correspondence with team and customers\nEager to learn and take on new challenges, with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed.\nStrong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks. \nStrong multi-tasking and time management ability.\nPossess excellent grammar and proofreading skills. \nNote: Preference will be given to individuals who have exposure to the architecture, engineering or construction industry.\n\nLife at WalterFedy \nAs a national, innovative, multi-discipline design and construction collective, our ambition goes beyond great design – we are here to enhance the world around us.
