The Mechanical Engineer is a trusted contributor who helps drive project success and creates meaningful impact on the built environment.\n\nWhat You Will Do\nPerform responsible and varied engineering assignments, applying comprehensive knowledge of mechanical engineering and its impact on other disciplines, applying National and Provincial Building Codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, and other relevant codes and standards.\nSolve problems using a combination of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures, or methods developed from previous assignments for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and control systems in a variety of projects.\nInterpret customer requirements, investigate design and field engineering difficulties, and coordinate work schedules.\nConsult with suppliers independently to secure appropriate procedures for projects.\nContact approval agencies and clients as directed by senior engineers.\nParticipate in planning to achieve prescribed budget, schedule, and performance objectives.\nPrepare progress reports, recommend changes in designs, estimate costs, and recommend payments for completed work.\nMaintain knowledge of related architectural and engineering disciplines.\nRefer unusual problems to senior engineers or specialists.\nContact associates in other departments to discuss and advise on project requirements.\nAssist with various tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors or senior team members to support the overall success of the team and company objectives.\nDemonstrate a strong commitment to our company values of quality, client focus, teamwork, sustainability, and community, integrating these principles into daily work practices and interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.\n\nWhat You Bring to the Table\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, applied sciences, or related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in a consulting environment.\n2+ years of Cleanroom experience.\nProfessional engineering certification or eligibility to obtain certification.\nStrong understanding of engineering principles and methods.\nExperience with engineering software and tools (e.g., Revit, CAD, Load Calculation software).\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and judgment in solving complex issues.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nFamiliarity with related architectural and engineering disciplines.\nAbility to interpret customer requirements and coordinate work schedules.\nProficiency in preparing progress reports.\n\nLife at WalterFedy \nAs a national, innovative, multi-discipline design and construction collective, our ambition goes beyond great design – we are here to enhance the world around us.
