This role involves performing routine engineering tasks, preparing plans, designs, and calculations, conducting technical surveys, and assisting in the preparation of reports and field inspection reports.\nYou’ll Love This Role If\nYou are interested in growing your skills and abilities in an interdisciplinary environment.\nYou get the importance of paying attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture.\nYou take pride in the quality of your work with a passionate attention-to-detail.\nYou have a motivated work ethic and a desire to succeed.\nYou embrace new challenges, out of the box thinking, and working with great people.\n What You’ll Do\nDevelop and apply knowledge and skills learned during formal education in the mechanical engineering discipline.\nPerform routine engineering tasks under close supervision, including preparing basic plans, designs, calculations, and drawings for assigned projects using Revit, or other specified software, in compliance with established codes, standards, and specifications.\nConsistently take initiative to execute tasks successfully, meeting deadlines and commitments set by senior team members.\nAssist in modifying existing designs (red line changes) and make suggestions to modify design approvals or materials for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and control systems.\nCarry out routine technical surveys and assist in preparing various reports, correspondence, and field inspection reports.\nDevelop strong knowledge of national and provincial building codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, and other related standards.\nWork directly with the clients under guidance, as required.\nCollaborate with more experienced technical personnel on specific aspects of more complex tasks.\nAssist with various tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors or senior team members to support the overall success of the engineering teams and company objectives.\nDemonstrate a strong commitment to our company values of quality, client focus, teamwork, sustainability, and community, integrating these principles into daily work practices and interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. \nWhat you bring to the table \nGraduating or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, applied sciences or related field.\nProficiency in engineering and office software and tools (e.g., Revit, CAD software, Microsoft, etc.).\nStrong technical and analytical skills.\nAbility to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.\nEagerness to learn and develop new skills.\nAbility to work under close supervision and follow established procedures.\nRegistered or pursuing registration with provincial governing body (eg.
