You'll be equally comfortable mentoring and developing a high-performing team, partnering with business leaders, and rolling up your sleeves to ensure accuracy and excellence in our financial operations.\nYou'll also help modernize how finance operates by championing technology, automation, and AI solutions that improve efficiency, enhance reporting, strengthen controls, and enable the team to focus on higher-value work.\nIf you're excited by the opportunity to influence strategy, drive meaningful change, and make a lasting impact across a growing organization, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat you will do\nFinancial Reporting & Month-End Close\nLead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.\nReview financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.\nEnsure accurate and timely financial reporting across all entities.\nAnalyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.\nPartner with leadership to support operational and strategic decision-making.\nFinance Operations Leadership\nOversee accounts payable, cash management, and other transactional finance processes.\nEnsure consistent execution of finance policies and procedures across all companies.\nDevelop, coach, and mentor members of the finance team.\nEstablish clear accountability, service levels, and performance expectations.\nInternal Controls & Governance\nMaintain and strengthen internal controls appropriate for a growing organization.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.\nIdentify control gaps and implement scalable solutions.\nSupport external audits and other compliance initiatives.\nProcess Improvement, Technology & AI\nChampion continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations.\nIdentify opportunities to automate manual processes and reduce administrative effort.\nLeverage AI and technology solutions to improve AP workflows, reporting, approvals, reconciliations, and data quality.\nPartner with business leaders to implement best practices and scalable processes.\nBusiness Partnership\nPartner with business leaders to analyze financial performance, develop dashboards and reporting, evaluate business cases and investment opportunities, and provide insights that support strategic decision-making. \nProvide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.\nSupport budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.\nUnderstand operational drivers within both the consulting and construction management businesses.\nHelp leaders translate financial information into actionable business decisions.\nWhat you bring to the table\nRequired\nCPA designation or equivalent accounting qualification.\n7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.\n3+ years leading and developing a finance team.\nStrong experience with financial reporting, month-end close, and accounting operations.\nProven ability to improve processes and implement change.\nPreferred\nExperience within architecture, engineering, construction, project-based consulting, or construction management industries.\nExperience with percentage-of-completion accounting, project accounting, holdbacks, and construction-related financial processes.\nExperience implementing or optimizing ERP systems.\nDemonstrated use of automation and AI tools to improve finance operations.\nStrong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and governance.\nLife at WalterFedy \nAs a national, innovative, multi-discipline design and construction collective, our ambition goes beyond great design – we are here to enhance the world around us.
