Clients include private developers, municipalities, government agencies, and other stakeholders such as nonprofits or property owners.\n#LI-Onsite\nResponsibilities\nPerform zoning code, land development regulation, and comprehensive plan research, and apply standards to site-specific development proposals, with limited guidance from senior staff.\nPrepare Planning Reports, including due diligence reports, site feasibility studies, and justification statements, with limited guidance from senior staff.\nAssist with the development of planning studies and reports in support of new and updated plans and policies.\nPrepare submittal documents, including rezoning, comprehensive plan amendments, development order amendments, variances, and site plan approval applications.\nWork with WGI designers to apply code and land use regulations, and address agency comments.\nCollect, interpret, analyze a variety of data, and prepare maps, charts, graphs, and other illustrative material for a variety of audiences.\nPrepare presentation material, such as PowerPoint presentations, graphics, and maps.\nOffer solutions to planning issues.\nWrite and edit technical reports.\nAssist senior staff with project coordination with clients and other consultants.\nAct as a liaison to government agencies or the public for our clients;\nRepresentation at public hearings, development review meetings, community outreach events, and other meetings as needed.\nComply with quality control procedures.\nWorks with mid-level planners to develop deliverables under the direction of a Project Manager on the Urban + Community Planning or Land Development Teams.\nQualifications\nMaster's Degree preferred, Bachelors in Urban and Regional Planning or related field from an accredited four-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience required.\nDemonstrated 1+ years in progressively responsible public and private planning experience.\nAbility to read and interpret land development regulations for different municipalities.\nPrepare presentation material, such as PowerPoint presentations, graphics, and maps.\nExcellent writing and oral skills.\nAbility to work independently with minimum oversight and as part of a multidisciplinary team.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks/deadlines at one time.\nStrong work ethic.\nGraphic abilities (AutoCAD, GIS, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) are a plus.\nNight and weekend work may be required.\nAICP Candidate or AICP certification is desirable.\nTravel to other office locations or client locations may be required.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
